Re: ** NEW Teaching vacancies in Siem Reap **
OP's refusal to return and answer some basic questions about the job underscore one of the many attitudinal problems in that profession in Cambodia. It' never a win-win situation when they employ; it's rather I'm going to do you a favor and give you an underpaid job with ill-defined job descriptions...

Re: ** NEW Teaching vacancies in Siem Reap **
Ok, lovely students, aircon, but mum on salary and absolutely no response about what ages are being taught and at what level. Either you're new at the job or this is just another run of the diploma mill jobs. Look, if you want an experienced teacher you can't pretend to hold all the cards and deal t...

Re: ** NEW Teaching vacancies in Siem Reap **
At the very least you should indicate some sort of sliding pay scale. Just as you do not want to waste your time interviewing candidates who are unqualified neither do potential applicants wish to show up for a job with a lousy salary nor even submit a resume. If it's not worth the money it's not wo...

Re: MANGO FARMING
There are a lot of good reasons for pruning mango trees besides ease ease of haresting. The fifty-year-old trees that I inherited with the property were not so maintained and as a result they suffer from the following problems. 1) The upper limbs are attacked by a a saprophyte the locals call beunny...

Re: MANGO FARMING

Besides, anyone who knows mango trees knows that aj reddish tree ant like to make their nest in the leaves and they are very aggress...

Re: MANGO FARMING
We sell locally and give away to relatives and impoverished locals. We also maintain a tree out of eye shot from the house so that schoolkids can pilfer to their heart's content. There is not any future in selling commercially since all the middlemen are Vietnamese (we live near the border in Kampon...

Re: MANGO FARMING
I don't understand the need for water. I have several on my property, some fifty years old and some we have planted from seed that are now 6-7 years old. They withstand the dry season quite well since they are native plants and survive quite well on what nature provides in rainy season.

Re: Deleting posts
Thank you BBB and Violet. Actually Sateev, I find it ironic that you actually think that my decision is related to you. Talk about Drama Queens. But you post does reveal that once again you fail to live up to the low standards you set for yourself.

This from their website "New Term Starts on 17 December, 2012 Registration open now!" Maybe he's having second thoughts. Also interesting is an old post from K440, dated 2005 http://www.khmer440.com/k/2005/07/from-the-horses-mouth-new-world-vs-elt/ Helps give an idea of the founder's vision which ha...

Lucky, I get the point, however it is unlikely he will show up-that's why he has well-armed bodyguards.

Re: Aikido Training Sessions
I have to agree with Visser; it's cheap no matter what Cambodians pay. I studied Hawaiian Kempo and Escrima (Filipino stick fighting) in a dojo in California. My sensei, who respected all martial arts, used to say that Aikido was a martial art until it came to California. I support all martial arts ...

Re: The 3rd Annual 440 Awards!
I see I have been nominated a couple of times in the NOOB category. Devious term that-it sounds a bit like a slang word for a sex organ. So, if I beat out all the contenders what do I win-an evening tour of bars and brothels?

Re: NWI
In a moment of financial despair I worked there for a while years ago. I remember looking at the interior design of the building then and thinking that the conversion to either hotel units or condos would be easily done. I had a low opinion of the admin staff and a rather high opinion of the owner w...
