I did wonder what was going on with that, since all you have to do if you’re a tourist who doesn’t like girly bar street is to not go to girly bar street.Bong Burgundy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:49 pmPlace next to the girly bar, opposite the abandoned white tents and unfinished high building.
Bit NIMBY of him.

Re: Best sushi PP
I don’t know what’s going on with sushi here, there’s nowhere that’s been reliably good or bad. I’ve had both great and awful sushi from all of Aeon, Sushi Chef, Sumire, Sakana Lab, Genki, and several others, from one week to the next. I speculate, without evidence, that they might all be getting th...

Re: Unfaked News
He makes some good points but could do with making some specific references. There are specifics if you click through, but they’ve picked a very bad example of the human trafficking story - the reason I say it’s a bad example is the implication seems to be that reporters should try to present the p...

Re: Cambodian trainees escape in Japan- organizations suspended
“Escapees” seems like a poor choice of words, given the number of human trafficking stories floating around Cambodia at the moment. It sounds more like these guys just wanted a Japan visa, and buggered off when the job turned out to be rubbish.

More baffling as in his early days here gonk didn't seem to mind fraternizning with ladyboys... It’s entirely consistent, and it explains where these people are coming from. They’re terrified that trans people want to corrupt kids with kinky sex shit, because their own personal experience of trans ...

The American Right supporting Putin makes so little sense, that the only plausible explanation is that the bulk of them don’t actually exist outside of an office block in St Petersburg.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 4:47 pmIt is becoming obvious the maga yanks are fully in thrall to Putin like their cult leader.

My living expenses are much higher here even though I’m not running a car any more, so definitely not that.
I like being part of a level of change and progress that’s not happening so much back home. Not to be a grumpy old sod but it does feel like my country of origin is marching steadily backwards.

Re: Posting images of crimes is ‘breaking Cambodia’s tourism sector’
I think Dr Sok massively overestimates how many potential tourists are actively following Cambodian Facebook groups.
If you’re at the stage where you’ve joined a bunch of Cambodian social media groups then you’ve pretty much already decided to come.

Re: Own 10% of a girly bar for $2.5k!
Also, “full figures available … for a non-refundable deposit of $100”? I realise it’s not uncommon to charge due diligence fees in cases where, for example, the asset under consideration is taken off the market during negotiations, or where there’s an agreement in principle to buy on the assumption ...

Re: Own 10% of a girly bar for $2.5k!
They've been trying to sell shares for months, at one stage I recall they were trying to sell the bar completely. When I first saw the ad I was tempted, since $2500 isn’t a bankrupting amount for me. But having thought it through and seen all this, I’m thinking I’d probably end up with 10% of a bar...
