I walked those streets the other day for the first time in some years; my word it's a seedy shithole around there with the tackily named and decorated shophouse slag bar shopfronts and vagrants in the alleys and on the pavement in a far higher concentration than elsewhere in the countryBong Burgundy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 11:54 amPhnom Penh: Phnom Penh Pedestrian Street is 57 hectares in Daun Penh district, which includes shops, restaurants, hotels, bars and pop street. Pedestrianizing it is a good idea in theory; although I fail to see how any sort of transformation can be effected before their deadline of 2025
hope it works out better than the multi function investment miracle on the coast.
That’s ladyboy robber gang territory.

Only in thought is man a God; in action and desire we are the slaves of circumstance.
I take it that this means pedestrians will now be allowed to walk on the footpaths unhindered by large SUV's and businesses blocking the way ?
