By my reckoning, Fletch's ETA is approximately two weeks away. After that he'll be eating prohok with his daily bowl of cockroaches. What Your Name? wrote:So where is the old scumbag, Fletch the Letch? I believe the deportation order was that he'd be brought back within 90 days. It's gotta be nearly up.keeping_it_riel wrote:It's scant consolation for them, but at least neither of these guys will have 'Angel of Death' Ken Svay visiting them in the Bangkok Hilton - a fate that awaits Fletch on his return. When Ken Svay visits you in the Big House it really is akin to The Grim Reaper tapping you on the nape of your neck with his icy, long, skeletal fingers.
Another PP expat in jail, this time in Bangkok

They're cant be many people in the world who actively want to stay in a Thai prison. I suspect Mr Fletcher is just the one.

We should really open a deathpool on how long Fletch will last in Prey Sar before he pegs it. Considering the facts that he's an unhealthy, out-of-shape old man, flat broke, has no mates to bring stuff in for him and has been excommunicated by his family, I'll go for a 2015 demise.

That's a wee bit conservative considering the points you list against him.I'll go for a 2015 demise
Flat broke?- he might have made a few quid inside giving haircuts
Judging by the last photo it looks like porridge has agreed with Fletch.
He looks in fighting shape and good spirits.
All the best to him on his return I say.

....I doubt he got much giving blow jobs.
Having said that, it's possible there's some big African drug runner in Prey Sar who wouldn't mind having Fletch as his personal blow job alarm clock every morning. Just imagine waking up at dawn's first light to the sound of Fletch (sans dentures) slobbering away down there.

What do you think you deserve, Phnom Penh-based teamone?
It's not what I deserve, it's what my wife wants, that rules here.

I don't know, my sense is that she would like to go for a trip 80 days around the world, or even longer, but she is stuck here, like so many other. Should I bring her for a taste of complete social disaster, or drink myself to death here, that is the question.
The latter, please.teamone wrote:I don't know, my sense is that she would like to go for a trip 80 days around the world, or even longer, but she is stuck here, like so many other. Should I bring her for a taste of complete social disaster, or drink myself to death here, that is the question.
That is going to take some time, I have resilient genes, fair with me.
I was watching UK tv the other night and one of those 'real life' documentary series came on. It's an Australian series called The Embassy which follows the work down by the Australian Embassy in Bangkok. Interesting stuff. One story line they followed reminded me of the Singlet Bros saga as it featured a young lad who had got so bogged down in the vicarious pleasures of life in Pattaya that he refused to return home, and in the end his parents cut off his money supply to force him back.
The other story line in this episode featured Steve Pedrotta who at the time of filming was 3 years into his 11 year term and who will now be five year into it. He hasn't changed. Still the officious little prick he was in Bangkok when I knew him. The embassy official who is assigned to him and has to see him monthly says she dreads her visits to him.
