Would the US State Department cover up a bar fight involving an embassy staffer at Golden Sorya Mall?
Would the purported cover-up hint at said staffer being senior level? Or even one of the US's 'cultural attaches'?
“The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.”
Minor point, but I read the Bayon Pearnik article as saying the fight was in a bar opposite GSM, not in GSM itself.

Damn right I'll appeal. They are faster with the appeals though, those usually only take about a year.Miguelito wrote:I can only presume that gavinmac will be filing an appeal for the FOIA request, and we should get an update in another two years and ten months?
Unfortunately the appeal is decided by . . . the U.S. State Department. Then after that you can file an actual lawsuit.

No mates from the embassy who might spill the beans over an ale or two? Or at the Oz or UK embassies?
Oh, we know the story but having proof is the key.PJC wrote:No mates from the embassy who might spill the beans over an ale or two? Or at the Oz or UK embassies?

Probably filed the same place as the Ark of the covenant, Roswell UFO's and all that other stuff in need of suppression, to keep the world at peace.

I've found mates generally don't appreciate seeing something shared over a beer being printed online the next morning.PJC wrote:No mates from the embassy who might spill the beans over an ale or two? Or at the Oz or UK embassies?

I think is fairly clear that [redacted] and [redacted] got involved in some [redacted] resulting in a massive [redacted].
What's the issue?

I do not think it fair to describe GSM as a brothel.
Sex does not take place on the premises, as far as I know.

Merriam Webster defines a brothel as "a building in which prostitutes are available", while Oxford defines it as "a house where men can visit prostitutes".QED wrote:I do not think it fair to describe GSM as a brothel.

I think the usage of brothel is apt.

Someone actually wrote a guide to picking up prostitutes at Golden Sorya Mall, for those who couldn't otherwise figure out how to do it. http://guysnightlife.com/picking-prosti ... orya-mall/
