Would the US State Department cover up a bar fight involving an embassy staffer at Golden Sorya Mall?
The only thing to stop a "bad guy" with a can of Anchor, is a "good guy" with a can of Anchor. Or a "K-9" team (seriously, Dogwogs is the right term - can I (c) this one?!!)

Can you imagine how much this stupid event , the coverup/whitewash and the subsequent release of info has cost the US taxpayers?
And it has just really confirmed what we knew already.

I wondered who Felgerkarb was, then I found this:
K440 Meets Long-Time Cambodia Expat and US Army Veteran ‘Felgerkarb’
As John Oliver would say, “cool”.

There were dogs. The Embassy came driving up just like in the movies and blocked the street with their SUVs (3 iirc), and a few tight-shirted western guys, followed by uniformed Khmer guys jumped out, as if they owned the place. Their attention concentrated mostly on GSM, yet the commotion had started across the street. They did run the dogs through the mall. The Local Guard Force Incident Report does not mention this K-9 team response at all.
"Half the customers" that left were not customers but the Khmer freshyboy druggies who scattered like cockroaches (The BP wasn't there - he got his info from us).
The oddest sight was sun-visor Huw standing in front of everything chatting up the main embassy guy. We were sure he had to be carrying and were shocked at his arrogance.
I later saw the GSM security guards lined up in file back at the guard office and getting a lecture from one of the embassy guys, translated by one of the KH uniformed guys.
So would that be in a separate embassy report then? Why the fuck does the US embassy have K9’s in the first place?Khmerican wrote:There were dogs. That's a good topic for a FOIA request. I assume they have them to guard the embassy and maybe residences.Jitters wrote:[

Most staffers live in condos like 240 or Aura, and I’ve certainly never seen dogs there or at/around the embassy itself (and they didn’t deploy dogs when BSCW tried scaling the fence). There could be de-mining dogs around, but they wouldn’t be trained to bring along on a mission like that, at a moment’s notice in the middle of the night.gavinmac wrote:That's a good topic for a FOIA request.
