I guess I have to say that I am not entirely surprised. You always seemed like the kind of person who would embrace fascism. Your own personal insecurities were an indication of that. But you used to be a liberal. You were anti war, you hated Bush, you opposed the invasion of Iraq, you had an affection for Michael Moore.You voted for Sanders. But now you have spun 180 degrees and now embrace a far right nationalist authoritarian regime which seems intent on tearing up the constitution and implementing more and more repressive and authoritarian, lets call it what it is, fascist, policies.
Lets have a look at the logic that led you here. I am not even going to attempt to address the frankly insane conspiracy theory stuff in your initial post.Pizzagate, the insane rants of Cathy O Brian etc. That stuff is so out there it really doesn't require a reply. Lets start with something simple. You despise Hillary, you, like millions of others, realised what a fraud she was. I agree entirely. I wouldn't have voted for a warmonger like Clinton either. But I question the logic that goes, Clinton is no good therefore I will throw my lot in with a far right, authoritarian like Trump that'll show em. That is no logic at all. Why not vote for Jill Stein? Where is the logic that takes you from an understanding that Clinton is a right wing hawk in thrall to wall street who stitched up the DNC to deny the candidacy to Sanders (a thesis I agree with entirely) to then saying you will instead support a fascist? Because that's what he is. All the lessons of history are warning us about him. The economic nationalism, the scapegoating of minorities, the hard line atacks on immigrants, the economic protectionism, all this has been done before, to disastrous effect.
Now lets consider the personal hypocrisy. You tell us you helped your son';s mother, a Cambodian bar girl, to immigrate to the US where she now lives, and now you intend to do the same to a Philippina girl who you met online. So that is two people you have helped immigrate to the US. At the same time you are applauding a President who is so hard line on immigration that he is tearing children from the arms of their mothers and locking them in cages. A President who wants to build a wall across the Southern border and who has smeared immigrants as rapists and criminals. Do you not see the hypocrisy here , You imported a Cambodian prostitute to live in the US and yet you support a President who is literally ripping immigrant families apart at the border.
Now lets move onto Trumps hypocrisy. Hypocrisy you apparently support. Trump has finally implemented some form of his Muslim ban after failing at the courts for a year. So he has banned Muslims and made America safer. How does Saudi Arabia fit into that? Saudi Arabia, the country that supplied something like 17 of the 9/11 attackers, is NOT on the ban. Oh what is going on there. Iran, a country that has never attacked US soil, is on the ban but Saudis apparently are free to come to the US, take flying lessons and get discounts for not learning to land. Could that exception have something to do with the fact that Trump has extensive business dealings with the Saudis? No, that would make Trump a massive hypocrite.
While we are talking about Muslims lets quickly consider Iran. Iran, a country that the US, along with many other countries had a caste iron solid gold deal with over nuclear weapons. A deal supported by Europe, China and Russia. A deal supported and verified by the IAEA and a deal that contained over 100 pages on verification. transparency and inspections alone. Trump, at the urging of Netanyahu, tore it up. Yet at the same time he celebrated a two page document with North Korea, a document that contained nothing but vague platitudes and a repeat of tired old promises from the 90s as a diplomatic breakthrough. You say you are still anti war but you fail to see that Trump has taken a very clear side here. He is siding with Saudi Arabia and Israel both of whom wish to fight a war with Iran with American bodies. What will you say when that war begins?
Which brings us to Israel and that collection of filthy religious nutcases he collected in Jerusalem for the inauguration of the US embassy there. These people, like Pence himself, believe Israel is carrying out biblical prophecies, they believe it is their job to help bring about Armageddon and that moving the US embassy to Jerusalem in the face of international law, is the first act towards fulfilling those prophecies. Now I don't believe Trump believes that nonsense for a moment but the religious right are useful idiots both for him and Israel and both are prepared to indulge their madness for their own ends. and that brings us to perhaps the most disgusting scenes ever witnessed on TV,. the split screen of, on the left, Ivanka Trump swilling champagne in Jerusalem while, the right side of the screen, Israeli snipers shooting unarmed demonstrators down like dogs. Sure you can dismiss it as "just Palestinians" You might even have embraced the dehumanisation so deeply that you now support heavily armed troops shooting unarmed kids, journalists and nurses in the back but history tells us that once that kind of behaviour becomes normal "over there" It will eventually become normal "over here. I could cite Trumps insane withdrawal from the Paris accords and climate change denial in the face of the scientific consensus of the whole world, his tearing up of regulations in the US itself that could see your national parks opened up for mining and clean air acts scrapped. Liberalism, aka cultural Marxism, is nothing but subjectivity. Fascism is also subjectivity. Only we are truly objective. In subjectivity, you focus on the identity, the ‘who ‘. In objectivity, you focus on the verb and object, the predicate. We are not concerned with who you are, nor are we interested in the convoluted double standards that you have created for the evaluation of said individual’s work. We are only interested in the work, itself, the action. No hypocrisy, no double standards. In the old days, women and blacks could do no right, and white men could do no wrong. In 2016, white men could do no right. and women and blacks could do no wrong. Both are bad, subjective thinking. And that was Hillary and Trump, if you’re not being a subjective sheep, following around the other dumb sheep, you can see, objectively, that Trump was the better candidate. And the more they scream about Trump, the more I realize that the liberals ain’t the smart ones anymore. But you can stay at the party and keep up the polite lies if you really need pussy or cocaine, me I’m fine by myself. We are the rugged individualists! And we brought peace to North Korea! It really almost feels like the Philippines is the good one to Cambodia ‘s evil twin. Both from the same Malay stock. The architecture, environment, everything, so different. But that’s where the similarities stop! Cambodia is twisted and evil from the communism that the peace man supports, but the Philippines is God’s country. I am so glad to be done with that self hating westerner bullshit. Hey guess what? Christianity and western culture are great! But after 11 years of living in the identity crisis wars, my filipina Fiancee is just an oasis of peace and harmony. She supports Duterte like I support Trump. She’s a conservative, Family oriented woman, and I know that I can trust her. Everything in China and Cambodia has just gotten worse and worse and I can’t believe how you snobs turn your noses up at the Philippines. It’s my new favorite place in Asia! But I am really glad I’m not in an expat community in China or Cambodia anymore, because the stark differences between Americans and all other English speaking people have never been clearer, and I would be bad at pretending and being polite. I am involved with Larouche PAC and they have a network in the Philippines. That says a lot. Yes, Larouche was right, it’s you British that are the real problem of the world. But I really do thank you for giving me and my baby boy shelter during those few critical hours before our flight when we had to go to escape his deranged infanticidal mother. She’s here now, don’t worry about her. She doesn’t choose to see her son. But really thank you very much. My son’s whole life could have turned out much worse if not for that fateful afternoon.
