Recommend an employment/labor attorney?
Recommend an employment/labor attorney?
My former employers are holding out on a 6000 payment + damages. I have spoken to a few of the main law firms who will all take the case but it's $800 just to get started and send a letter. Can anyone recommend a capable, affordable, English speaking alternative law firm or attorney with a track record in employment cases? Much obliged.....
What firms did you contact? Are the former employers big or small fish?

Lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Labour first. I know of one case where a non-wage related complaint was brought and some people from the MOL showed up at the business. Business took quick action to correct once that happened.

Ministry were less than helpful. The process was a joke. We're past that now and i'm talking to a few law firms. They're a medium fish who have no intention of playing by the rules. I'll give Mr Mar a shout....thanks lads
