While Giovanni was at the bar the staff noticed that a phone went missing. When the staff noticed that the phone had gone missing they tried to call it to no avail because Giovanni had turned it off.
After inspecting the CCTV footage it was discovered that Giovanni had taken the girl's phone off the table, placed it in his fanny pack and then walked to the toilets where he turned it off. The staff confronted Giovanni about the theft and showed him CCTV footage where it was proven without a doubt that he was the guilty phone thief.
Giovanni returned the phone and was asked to pay his bill and leave. Later in the evening Giovanni posted a warning on Facebook claiming that the bar staff was trying to scam him, and that they had put their phone in his bag in order to extort him for money. He claimed that he had to pay to avoid problems with the police.
The Italian phone thief blamed the wrong bar, thinking that he had been in Xanadu bar when he had in fact been in another bar a couple of doors down the street. The owners of the bar responded to the allegations by publishing the CCTV footage showing GIOVANNI MILITELLO attempting to steal the phone.
Giovanni Militello has deleted his Facebook account and could not be reached for a comment about his phone thieving behavior.

Giovanni Militello reactivated his Facebook account to make a comment and then quickly inactivated his Facebook account again. Luckily I am pretty good with computer and was able to get a screenshot before it was gone again.
Apparently the story is not real, or there was a mistake, or somebody else put it in his bag, or he put it in the bag himself to take a picture. He does not need to steal phones from bargirls because he is only in Phnom Penh to extend his visa, and he lives in Cambodia and has a business here.

Maybe he runs a Corporate Security testing programme ?
Or an F&B Customer Service training company ??
Or maybe he is just an Arsehole
"We, the sons of John Company, have arrived"
Such a dumb fuck, it's unbelievable.
He looks like that duck-faced dago who kept his dead flatmate wrapped up in polythene or a carpet for a few weeks some years ago.
Couldn't be could it?

Giovanni posted an apology in the comments.
I guess he wants people who don't speak Italian to understand what he says.
