When will you go "home"
You would deny your son the education and career opportunities of being in Europe because you don’t want to live there?Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 4:03 pmI wouldn't be interested really, it's okay to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.ricecakes wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 5:08 amHanky
If someone offered you a very good job that paid well in teaching or lecturing ( or something else you would enjoy doing etc ) and it offered you and the lad a safe route home ( without the unknowns of job hunting etc ) and even more if it was in a part of Ireland you wanted to be in........what would you do ?
Genuine ?

I find that odd and a bit selfish.

What the fuck would you know about it? He goes to a very good school and when that's finished we might relocate. How do you say "Wots the craic?" In Khmer?
In Thailand, they don't say hello, they say, "You eat lice alleady?".
If you ended up moving back, would they take a big stash of prahok?
Mine roasts chillies in a pan in our house share place.

I don’t think it’s odd or selfish. If he’s been here for years what’s he suppose to do rush into a completely new life in the west. I think parents being happy is very important for children also. They don’t want to see an unhappy dad or mum.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:31 pmYou would deny your son the education and career opportunities of being in Europe because you don’t want to live there?Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 4:03 pmI wouldn't be interested really, it's okay to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.ricecakes wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 5:08 amHanky

I wouldn't fancy working up 4 flights of bamboo scaffolding on a building site wearing only flip flops, on leaving school though.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 8:56 pmI don’t think it’s odd or selfish. You live in a share house? Aren't you 60 or so, and married?
I can't remember what the point of allowing a GUEST function was. I think itS shitty. If you're going to say it....own it at least.

I still don’t know who posters are behind their regular usernames (on the other forum especially, where more post)

What garbage. Many expat and Khmer people who have attended local schools and universities have gone on to do very well for themselves, both here and abroad.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:31 pmYou would deny your son the education and career opportunities of being in Europe because you don’t want to live there?

Also, no shared toilets or school shootings here.
Surely his kid gets a say in it? Maybe his kid likes it here, too.
