Hey people!
Just moved here and wanted to introduce myself. I heard this is a good resource! I hope I'm in the right place.
I have some questions about the state of Kampot after the flooding. safety, things to do etc. Any help would be appreciated or just say hi!

I'm in PP now with my father(71 yrs) and my son(14 yrs). I heard news from my father about terrible flooding but I think he is mistaken and that happened in the north. Thanks for the replies. I'll try to post more and hopefully be able to meet some of you in person. I'm a nurse (45 yr old male) who plans on working part time in the U.S and live 9 months here.

During some exceptionally heavy rain there may be flashes of standing water here and there but Kampot town hasn't properly flooded since the dam was commissioned years ago
A few dumb hippie fucks do get flooded because they live in the channel beneath the dam but an occasional involuntary bathing is good for the smelly hideaways
It does flood. There is crime, but low compared to US cities of a similar size. Petty crime is the made issue.
