A number of people donated cash, richard got him a wheelchair and found a carer for him.
Roz helped him with food and incidentals.
Where were you, carping old misanthrope?

I'd wager you're headed for the same fate.

What, dying with Richard or Roz by my side? Thanks for the heads up, think I'll end it now before they get here.

Not sure that proves anything. Only says he was part of a forum with many friends.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 3:41 pmYou would be wrong,
from his daughter:
I'm still waiting for embassy to call me but usha is in touch and I've since found out that my dad had made arrangements with her and transferred her the monies to do so, she is been absolutely amazing and is carrying out my dad's wishes. I believe he will be cremated tomorrow. I just wish I could have done more. I'm am forever grateful for usha who has stayed with him and doing all this, she is one amazing lady @phuketrichard if you could please let her know this. I'm also grateful for your help especially trying to call the embassy all morning and everything else. Also shout out to @rozzieoz you've all been great. Thank you so much for everyone's condolences, it warms me that my dad was part of a very supportive forum and made many friends.

Every year I get loads of messages on Facebook on my birthday. Never hear from the buggers the rest of the year. But people see that it’s my birthday and feel that they should say something. I wonder if it’s the same here, they see he has died and feel that they should add an insincere RIP.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 3:53 pmIf that’s the case why not post before?
I’d hate to be in his situation if I ever got sick. Resorting to internet strangers for help. fuck that.
I’d hope I’d have at least 10 friends (apart from Dave!) here who’d step up both financially (not that I really need it but who knows) and support wise.
Ok, maybe less.
As we all age here it’s inevitable for All of us.
(If anyone is wondering, yes I live in PP but never knew or met him, although I did communicate with him regarding his bike but he stopped messaging me weeks ago. Confused and scared he was)

Don't think it's fair to start judging others who live in PP for not helping out. People have there own shit to deal with most of the time, just because you don't share your life story on the internet doesn't mean everything is perfect. Most would not have known him personally, just Interacted online. Also, I don't want to be that guy but the majority also pay for insurance every year so they don't get into the same situation.
