...or Cambodia, or Vietnam. Both are much closer (therefore cheaper) than Indonesia. OP: Have you contacted a company called "Starbucks"? I hear that they sell coffee in Cambodia.

this is a view lacking in world reality i see no politics or cross border corruption or exchange rate rigging, for instance, in that.

ST coffee from chumpon thailand also has a considerable market share only web link i can find is https://www.facebook.com/STChumphonCoffeeFanpage

judging by the patchy availability of their products, they may be able to sell more than they can produce and hence be open to imports

The further something needs to travel, the more expensive it will be. Transporting anything within Cambodia, or from Laos or Vietnam, will cost less than transporting from Indonesia, as long as all other variables stay the same (and there are many other variables). Just simple logistics and transport economics. That's all.

How do you know that their product has "patchy availability"? Their Facebook fan page? That screenshot? And why would you assume that "patchy availability" equals more demand than supply? There are many other possibilities one could assume. "Able to sell more than they can produce" is an illogical statement. If they can't produce more, how can they sell more? Only scammers do that.

They aren't "open to imports". They wish to export to Cambodia. Is this where your errors in logic begin? Maybe you should re-read the OP. (Edit: this point should be first. I realised this after I wrote all the other stuff. But I'm so infrequently this lucid that I don't want to delete it. Note to self: never ever argue/debate with a sociopath, dumbshit!)

I never mentioned anything about politics, corruption, or currency rigging in my very short, simple post. You seem to make some very large assumptions, about many things, with very little information. Good luck with that, especially here in SEA.

Let me try again:

Sociopath, the original poster wishes to export green coffee beans from Indonesia to businesses in Cambodia. I think these coffee beans might be more expensive than coffee beans grown in Cambodia, or imported from Vietnam or Laos, simply because of transportation costs.

If a business in Cambodia has a need for coffee beans from Indonesia (Sumatra, for example), then maybe they should contact the OP.

tin141185, I'm sorry for hijacking your thread. Just Google "coffee roaster Cambodia", "coffee group Cambodia", and "coffee organization Cambodia". Many results.

I would be interested in receiving samples. I have a roastery in southern Cambodia. [email protected]

Has anyone been to Green Pepper Italian restaurant on 370? It's looks a tad expensive but upmarket. Just wondered if anyone's tried it.
