"Build them up and buyers will flock"
Just like they did in China for the past 3-4 years, right?

I just got a new ad from them on my feed, this time with a floor plan. Those studio apartments are the size of shoeboxes, and their premium corner units have windows that face out on each other. No wonder they’re having such difficulty moving units.nerdlinger wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 5:12 pmAnyone else noticed Le Condé BKK1’s marketing campaign is sounding increasingly desperate these days?

30 sqm is not really that small for a studio in today's world. In Europe and other parts of Asia new studios located in central area tend to be under 30 sqm now days. In Bangkok studios that have been built in last 10 years the average size 24 sqm. But Le conde is over priced. That way they have difficulty to sell them.nerdlinger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 10:53 pmI just got a new ad from them on my feed, this time with a floor plan. the whole sector appears to be a ponzi scheme, sold off the plan.
Not too surprising given what happened in China.

I’m seeing 29sqm here but who’s counting. As you say, they’re pitching these at the high end and asking over $135,000 (14x the average salary) for an apartment smaller than a mid-range hotel room.rogerrabbit wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 3:15 pm

It’s not even as though PP has a particularly attractive area that would naturally command a high price like you get in most cities, but the developers are clearly hoping their tenants won’t realise that.
