Hey, i am new here. I'd like to introduce myself.
I am 0x01987, i am a crypto/blockchain enthusiast.
Anyone here in Cambodia into blockchain tech? I've been working with big corps and understood that Cambodia and its people can benefit so much from this technology.
Let's talk!
Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system.

JFYI trading cryptocurrencies is technically banned by the NBC. Trading still occurs of course, but be mindful about leaving obvious crypto related messages in your bank transactions for example as it can get your Cambodian bank account banned.

As for smart contracts and other use cases of blockchain tech, I personally don’t think the wider Cambodian market is ready or understands its implications. Cambodia is still in an early stage of digitalization.
I think the best you could do is to start a project powered by blockchain technology without evangelizing about cryptocurrencies, and see how far that can take you. The sad reality is that you should not be surprised when people shrug at it.
You would have better chances in Thailand for example. In Cambodia the crypto reputation is deeply wounded by scamming shysters that came before you, OneCoin and such.

Alexandra is correct. Cryptocurrency is illegal here, and overall is liable to do more harm than good. Jog on.
Binance is linked to ABA and all banks using KHQR code to buy and sell crypto via P2P in Cambodia so I'm not sure about cryptocurrency illegal here.
This should help a bit, can't get to the Khmer language articles from here, but they are illegal:

This regulation is from 2017.
Today, Binance exchange platform to buy and sell crypto is linked to ABA, KHQR, Bakong, Acleda, Canadia, Wing, Tru Money.
You can buy and sell cryptos such as USDT, BTC, BUSD, BNB, ETH, etc from your phone, via your own bank account here in Cambodia.
Cambodian banks have signed agreements and partnerships to be linked to Binance to smoothly buy and sell crypto. This is a hard fact, there's more than 30.000 transactions between Cambodian banks and Binance.

Just because someone’s managed to get a bank account doesn’t mean what they’re doing is legal, or that it won’t get shut down at zero notice.
I’m sure Binance knows better than the NBC and ABA.
You should withdraw crypto money to your ABA account.
