I don't know if you have the same problems as I do, but there seem to be serious problems with Ezecom. Internet connectivity is going on and off all the time. But when supposedly 'on', many websites are not accessible via Ezecom (including at times Google!). When accessing these sites on my mobile phone, via Cellcard (not the standard WiFi which of course uses Ezecom), there are no problems whatsoever. What's going on with Ezecom, which is supposedly a 'good' Cambodian ISP?
Will it be the next OpenNet?
WTF is going on with Ezecom?

I haven’t been hope that much this week - but I haven’t noticed any issues with Ezecom.
How long have these issues been happening? Have you spoken with their technical support?

I've been with Ezecom for eight years and it's always been like that. The last few months it's normally cut out for a minute or two, maybe a dozen times per day, which is a huge improvement on the hours we've been cut off prior to that.

I’ve found their customer support to be very receptive.
Used them for past 4 years and have encountered outages and they have resolved them v quickly, including when a rat ate the cable - they had it fixed within 3 hours

Ezecom phone support: "Press 2 for English" and then nothing happens...
As many websites are inaccessible, I have a feeling they might have a problem with their submarine cable running from Sihanoukville.

It already is...they took over from OpenNet. No issues with Ezecom at my place.frigidaire wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:19 amWill it be the next OpenNet?
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
I'm with whoever took over Digi....certain news and financial sites simply won't open any more so I have to flip over to 4g. Even something like Skyscanner won't open using home Internet but does so immediately with 4g.
I assumed the Chin firewall, since the sites are similar to ones that are tricky in China.

Ezecom was superb at corporate level (big pipe stuff + redundancy, etc) - for consumer it was also very good, but for me was always at the mercy of "Samnang", the road/borey construction guy, cutting a cable either above or below ground which wiped it out, sometimes for a day or two; and none of which Ezecom's fault. Sadly that for me was enough to push for a simple Smart @Home WiFi box + Android/4G SIM as a backup for powercuts, and I haven't looked back. I can video stream & do all my work stuff, etc 99% as good as Ezecom fibre without all the hassle. Wireless is the way to go.

Likewise, excellent service, quick responses, and very stable.RobW wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 12:05 pmI'm with whoever took over Digi....certain news and financial sites simply won't open any more so I have to flip over to 4g.
