So someone killed a cow in your refrigerator?djaid48 wrote:If there was blood in the house, that's where the kids were killed.
Have you ever heard of people cleaning stuff?
Go home, Clouseau.

Time to go medieval. Fire up the blowtorch and get the dogs.
I hope Cambodia isn't going the way of Thailand where they get out after 10 years for murder.

Police Reopen Case in Death of Frenchman and Family
21 August 2014
PHNOM PENH—
Cambodian police say they will reopen an investigation into the death of a Frenchman and his family.
The bodies of Laurent Vallier, 42, and his four children were found entombed in a vehicle submerged in a pond behind his home in Kampong Speu province in January 2012. No suspects have ever been arrested.
But the provincial court has ordered a reopening of the investigation, Mok Chito, director of internal security for the Ministry of Interior, told VOA Khmer, declining to give further details. “We are processing this case,” he said.
Provincial court judge Chhim Rithy said he requested a reopening of the investigation because “this case is important.” He requested the Ministry of Interior widen its search for suspects and begin questioning people in other provinces.

Yes, the whole world has seen how important it is to you.
The way it has been expedited so far is just staggering.

After the botched investigation of the dead french girl and holding Ollie in jail for over a year, then letting him go, it is not surprising that 0 is being done. Who else but the family could be suspects? I have not heard anything more on this either.
Has there not been a change of police chief as well down Kampot way?

This was in the next village to me. People still gossip about at the markets and there is no doubt the killers haven't gone anywhere.

I'd be monumentally surprised if it was anyone outside her family. The excuse trotted out whenever anyone asks about questionable expat criminal cases "no smoke without fire" and her extended family is smoking more than a cigarette factory on fire.andyinasia wrote:Hold up - they don't yet have the perp(s)penisjokeforaname wrote:Time to go medieval. Let's remember this was a mass murder of 4 children, quite possibly the greatest crime against children in the country in recent years, I think the police should be proactive in tracking down the perps even if it means a little roughing up.

What ever happens to that crime where the mother allowed thieves to kill her two daughters and her nephew before she opened her safe for them.penisjokeforaname wrote: Let's remember this was a mass murder of 4 children, quite possibly the greatest crime against children in the country in recent years,

A popular expat-bar theory at the time was that local traffickers or abusers were looking at his eldest daughter; 11 years old and half-white. The father found out and was eliminated by the perps, along with the other kids.
Maybe that NGO associated with Friends should be looking into the case. The probably would be had it happened today.

Never heard that one. All the expat bar theories I heard centered on land.penisjokeforaname wrote:A popular expat-bar theory at the time was that local traffickers or abusers were looking at his eldest daughter; 11 years old and half-white.
