I will not suffer some sympathy for the devil crap above.
Tanguy & his brother Wesley are both drug dealing, whore mongering assholes who have wronged shitloads of people for their playboy/vanity trips. They are both area 51 reptiles.
I was offered an opportunity to go through The Maldives to make six grand by one of their close, notorious scenester associates (DJ Flo). I felt it was a ploy to win/win or get rid of me.
All this doe-eyed "but I'm just a family man in Cambodia" shit is tiring.
With that said, his family probably coughed up some cash, and I am not The Judge.
To be sentenced to Life? in Absentia, suggests much more than mere he said/she said from an arrested mule.
And such a vague statement from The Cambodian prosecutor is..aspirin at best.

See you in Hell
It look that you been through that business before.ricecakes wrote: ↑Sun Dec 23, 2018 8:53 amIs pretty tough in prey sar by all accounts.Wayward Woods wrote:How many white guys are in there? I could picture two. One for nonces and one for drug, violent crimes. The middle of the road guys would float around like Andy Dufresne for a few months before their eventual release.
The moment you walk in you have to decide whether to join the Bavet Lo Riders or the An Long Ven Brotherhood.
Make sure you're wearing the correctly coloured krawma or you're fucked.
Do you want coke with that?
In the past there could be several mules on a flight. One gets fingered and while the boys are busy the rest get through.

I think the reason he's inside is because of the statement made by David. I'm guessing that now after spending time together they've come to some deal where Tangay will support David if he gets out I'm imagine.Iridesce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:33 amI will not suffer some sympathy for the devil crap above.

He is innocent (cough cough) and justice will prevail.( Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
When Cambodia's prison population was small, they were not ongoing hell holes. They got VERY bad only when disease ran through, the warden's food money was short, or there was a water issue in the hot season. Later, in 2009, or so, I visited Prey Sar to take a friend of a friend some cash. It was much bigger than in the '90's and more crowded, but in my single hour inside, it didn't feel more dangerous. (As if a visitor can tell.)
Is it dangerous? Are there gangs, rape, murder, all the shit we see on TV about USA prisons?

Oh no, the authorities had been watching him; his market was wide as in international. Dave is just another jailbird, and I'm surprised Tanguy is still in one piece, which suggests he has a nice allowance, but not nice enough. Several guys ended up in prison because these assholes I mentioned above.Fred Edwards wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:37 pmI think the reason he's inside is because of the statement made by David. Impossible to get a straight answer from anyone, but I believe Tanguy had issues with his associates, and he Fell, as he fled to Vietnam.
We only hear a select few of these stories.
(edit: HoW would Tanguy have known, Dave named him, before, Tanguy decided to flee, & was arrested?. That would suggest one of his associates was a "lawman" of some sort. Perhaps perusing the khmer press?, but I highly doubt that. You know how it is asking questions in these parts. About this time, pre-arrest, his brother was walking around looking for a new gig other than pontoon, which was telling)
See you in Hell
Well that sucks. Don't do drugs, and don't smuggle them either. But why the schadenfreude? His life is already over. Why does that make you happy?Good riddance, keep him there.

pew, pew, pew, pew!
Amen to that
Another myth, that needs dispersing:
- Heroin, sold as cocaine
This one's no myth!
- Fentanyl laced crap, sold as Heroin
that's why they all drop like flies, nothing to do with pure "china white"

I quit for good 10 years ago after i'd almost passed on fentanyl.
Had the misfortune of getting to know Wesley, Tanguy's Brother.
Wesley is the kind of guy you immediately want to steer away from, or see to his skull getting smashed
unless you're a fellow meth head, i guess.
With what else has transpired, Tanguy being an apple from the same tree
it's quite probable he's not so innocent after all.

Maybe because of the debt "Tan Guise" raked up during his stay at Tulsa, then operated by David DW, who took the first flight outbound the moment David C got busted.
Anyway, if Tanguy gets released I do certainly hope he gets blacklisted and never sets foot again in La Bodge.

I remember Tanguy being fairly desperate prior to this incident, owing money to at least a few places or people and I remember thinking this guy should've never gone here and unfortunately I was right. At one point he had an odd looking (but otherwise friendly and nice) Swedish guy living with him, until he could pay him back for some drug deal gone awry - I might be wrong, but I was convinced they both were junkies of some sort.
Seemed doomed to fail from the get go with these two, but it's still sad to see lives wasted like this . . .

Harsh. How long will it be until he is free? Is basically sea expat nightmare.
With sentences here is there anyway to get them reduced? Any pardoning ever happen or perhaps some expensive legal magic?
