I shit in the bushes many a time when we cycle toured from the Bodge to Nepal, and I'm perfectly sane.

I recorded our daily routes on Google Maps for awhile, but got bored doing that after a hard day's cycling in the heat.
The Terei or southern flatlands that we cycled in Nepal wasn't very scenic, but it was....flat, and no psycho mini busses around the bends that go up to Kathmandu.

That's quite a cycle ride. I think I would prefer to do it the other way around. So next lifetime that's what I dospitthedog wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 3:14 amI think we did it in 5 ish months iirc.Fred Edwards wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 1:59 amHow long did it take you to cycle to the Nepal?spitthedog wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 6:36 pmI shit in the bushes many a time when we cycle toured from the Bodge to Nepal, and I'm perfectly sane.

What a mess. So far he has raised $230 of the $800 he’s asking for.
This is their home:
This is their home:
Blessed is the man that hears gentle voices call him papa.
They call him papa when he can't feed them.
They say papa I love you when he provides no clothing or housing.
They ask if papa is okay when he wells up for no apparent reason.
These gentle voices try to buy and do things for papa.
Papa doesn't deserve any of it. NOT ONE BIT.
Then that is his blessing.
Living outside now for a month, everyone with sniffles and colds.
It rains every other night now and our 'roof' leaks.
No walls to negate the cold night air or wind.
Everything is dusty and dirty. Livestock and insects are in and on any food we get all the time.
We sit to feast and a chicken or duck will decide it's kick off time. Large wings flapping frantically, blowing up huge clouds of dust from the dirt floor with feathers and animal shit remnants floating into our meals.
Perfect storm for a sick man and small children.
Covid was a concern, now pneumonia and dysentery are more likely.
Defecating in the bushes with a plastic bottle of water to wash the fecal matter from yourself.
HOPE IS FREE.
So we've got loads of that. I wrap the gentle voices in it, it feeds us all. Hope keeps us warm and dry. Our protector ,hope keeps us safe.
We are allowed to leave back to the UK in 16 days.
15 more nights of this, can it finish me off? I hope not.
I Lost 8 kilos last month. That's 12 under my optimal weight.
Skin is going rotten again, scabby and itchy, non stop. It's just the animal filth here.
Kids all have lice. Everytime we treat it they come back because everything is ALWAYS dirty and abused by livestock and cattle.
A cow woke me nibbling at my pillow.
A beautiful cow with huge shining eyes and fleas. So many fleas.
I hope, hope keeps us we'll enough to make that journey. PEACE.
I have heard gentle voices ask me for food and a room to live in. So I ask in my most gentle voice, please share this.
We need a room with food near the British embassy in Phnom Penh.

Alexandra, thanks for posting that YT video and the photo. I've been following the posts about this guy and his circumstances. Clearly, I think he is not completely 'compos mentis', which may explain some of his outbursts and accusations. I think if one has a serious illness, is unemployed and is trying to look after 3 young kids, with minimal funds, they I too would be losing my marbles with worry and frustration.
What is the situation with the British Embassy? It sounds like they are arranging to fly him and the kids to the UK. Is that confirmed?

I remember meeting this loser circa 2016 at a couple of happy hours at some bar in riverside 50c a beer . He was always moaning about wife and kids and would only have enough money to drink on those prices once they jumped to a mighty $1 he'd sulk off to wherever next did the offer. What is the deal with the youngest in the shifting videos is this adopted or his? If his he must have selfishly had it while HIV positive despite barely having the money to survive then, and this was the time he was a fully employed tefler on at least $1200 a month. Considering the years he has been in Cambodia and taught here why wasn't he at a higher level (like a Scouse vlad). I feel sorry for the kids. But don't bring children into the world of you begrudge them.
Peaceman fucked up yet he still got out and.made.a.success of his son at least. Typical victim, blames everyone but himself and looking for bailouts (is this is 3rd.it 4th gofundme? In 2 years)
I hope it has a happy ending for the kids.

It’s not confirmed. On the contrary I don’t understand how it would be possible since one of the three kids isn’t his but “adopted” (perhaps not even legally).simon43- wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 12:03 amWhat is the situation with the British Embassy? You’d think if the British embassy agreed to fly him back they would also grant him a small loan to survive in the meantime. It costs much less than what the British government will have to pay once (if) they fly to England.
It seems quite popular among Brits to use flying home as an excuse to get a few hundred bucks quick so they can stay in Cambodia longer. William Jewsbury and other notable British scammers have been known to ask their friends and family for money to fly only to spend it all on something else.
I can only imagine that someone could ask for money from both friends and family to buy a plane ticket and tell several people that they paid for the same ticket. And then they could pocket the extra money made and spend it on booze or something. That would be a dick move but it’s an easy way to scam people out of $500 or whatever it costs to fly to England.

Perhaps he has no intention of taking the children with him. He wouldn’t have much success if he asked for money just for him to leave though. So, we have the ‘we’.

Still, what someone mentioned earlier in this thread: if you cannot raise some money (I'm talking only a few thousand dollars) from friends/relatives back home and/or here in Cambodia, there must be something seriously wrong with you.
Burned too many bridges, no doubt, so don't feel in any way sorry for him. The kids, though...
