Vaccination cards required to enter shops, markets, cafes, etc
What happens in case of foreigner who was vaccinated abroad? Is there a way to get a Cambodian vaccinated card based on proof of vaccination abroad?
No, you cannot get a Cambodian Vaccination Card based on overseas vaccinations. Your foreign proof of vaccine is acceptable, it may confuse some people checking the cards, but they are all pretty self-explanatory, you may just need to convince them to apply some common sense
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

As expected, only the most draconian of places seem to be enforcing this with any vigour. Last week/weekend I wasn't even asked for a card - not sure if that's just because I'm a regular in most of them, but even a couple of shops I've never been to, just a nod from the security guy, a temperature check/hand spray and off I went.
At some point the COVID-zero crew are going to understand that the best laid science falls apart when confronted by practicality.
Scully as said by PSD_Kiwi above; I've seen foreigners enter based on their own country cards/healthcare apps no problem. Unless you're Chinese, or black.

I am always happy to be proven wrong, please share with me an official directive which outlines the procedure for converting a foreign Vaccination Card/Certificate to a Cambodian Vaccination Card. I'm talking official...not a "my friend paid so and so and got his foreign card converted to a Cambodian card"Guest wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 1:00 pmI love it when people on the Internet confuse their opinion with facts.

So, the claim is a foreign person can get their vax card changed to a Khmer one?
Sounds pretty idiotic.
What then? Change it back when they go home? Good luck...
Why even give a hoot?
Just show your vax card with your foreign passport....
I do not think anybody in SR cares about vax cards...I would carry mine if they ever call me to pick it up....ho hum...

It's been reported that school students need only show their card at their school once, whereupon the school ticks a box in a data base and that student is allowed to attend in-person training on an on-going basis.
I am 96% sure unvaccinated people in Cambodia are NOT allowed any in-person training: not grade-school, university, vocational training, computer school, language schools, driving lessons, or now, officially, kindergarten, pre-school or group babysitting in nursery school. Can anyone fully confirm?
Official Department of Education directives also state all in-person school teachers, administrators, cleaners, guards etc must show proof of vaccination. I imagine this is a one-and done showing of cards, just like students.
As long as a very, high % of students are in fact vaccinated, I bet some/most(?) private schools will have a few 'accidental' student vax record errors: showing 'vaccinated' when actually not, because they believe govt inspections are not likely careful enough to notice, and, if they did notice, they would likely let a few 'mistakes slide'.
What about teachers who get recorded as vaccinated, but aren't? Do you think the Education Department is as likely to let these 'mistakes' slide? If not, is there anything the department might do short of temporarily closing the school? If not, how many unvaccinated classroom teachers would be needed to trigger a full temporary closure? Will many schools risk this?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see as many students as I used to. Schools seem less busy from my perspective. I miss the hordes of white shirts right next to me where there is a big school. I guess a lot of people are still afraid to send their kids and maybe want to wait until next year.
