Vaccination cards are required to enter pretty much anywhere starting today.
Phnom Penh: According to the instruction of Phnom Penh Capital Administration No. 027/21, dated October 05, 2021, the Phnom Penh Municipal Authority would like to instruct all citizens to show COVID-19 vaccination cards or a certificate of vaccination every time when entering and leaving educational institutions, markets and business locations in Phnom Penh.

The instruction confirmed that for the management of any educational institution, market committee, business owner, location owner, private market owner, market owner, mart owner, restaurant owner, cafe owner in the private sector, and other location owners who are permitted to operate who do not follow the above guidelines will face the revocation of licenses or permits and may lead

Expected.

Yet have they clearly listed the countries, vaccines, and card types they will accept if would be 'users/clients/customers" received their shots outside Cambodia. AND have they designed a training program for staff at every shop, market, cafe and school how to recognize these accepted cards?AND, if not, how can they hold establishments responsible that are trying their best.

If it increases vaccination rates, great, but it isn't hard to imagine the corruption potential. Soon low level individuals from a range of Govt ministries and Departments will begin showing dodgy vaccine cards to earn money or procure free services. "No problem, you don't need to give, I'm happy to report your business/NGO/school/etc instead."

Schools? Why rush to open any private school currently online only? Why risk using your license/registration, stay closed till rules and enforcement routines more clear, perhaps sometime in 2022 when the dust has settled. (Or? Get a clear photo of each student, teacher, staff member holding their vax card, from whatever country (e.g. say, Mainland China for Chinese lang teachers), AND get a signed and thumbprint affidavit from each affirming their vax status.)

With long term customers, schools are easy. How much effort can a cafe put in for a customer that will spend $3 and be gone in an hour or less?

It will be enforced in the same way as the alcohol ban, the 15 person rule, criminalising of prostitution, motorcycle helmets, one way streets, fire safety laws, food hygiene certification, guest registration rules at short time hotels, driving licenses, the list goes on.

The usual false sense of security behind a half working vaccine...
And what about certificates written in another language than khmer?

Hopefully in few weeks/months people will be bored with this additional amount of work and will just skip it, just like I went to Fairplus & Lucky yesterday with nobody asking for QR-TRACKME-Scan or Temperature check.

There still seems to be a significant number of people waiting to receive their Vax card.
I know 3 people like this and when they call to ask they are just told 'oh it hasnt arrived yet.' 5/6 months after vaccination.

Licking my lips with anticipation for the first video of some foreign Karen yelling at a confused little Khmer staff member about her freedoms and right to medical privacy.

This will surely be realized through the arbitrary digression of independent entities. Another tool in the shed of an increasingly powerful authority. The last thing would be to contradict or resist any request and just follow the mainstream of this ever resilient society.

Same here, I went to Center Point Mall nobody asking me for QR tracking, the girl just sitting on her chair waiting till she dissappear in her own ass hole. Brown Coffee shops are also winding down, I just walking no sweat. People are tired with these rituals.

Saying Karen is racist , just saying.

Ps.Have you been secretly advising governments on their covid policy. It sounds exactly like something you would dream up?
Any country that introduces vaccine passports is a cunt. I just wish there wasn't so many blind followers allowing their liberties to be stripped away. Ffs...

As badly as this whole affair has been managed in the UK at least they have not introduced mandatory vaccine passports yet.

Fuck I wish I was Swedish. They never had a covid lockdown.
Some people really don't get it.

The best response would have been to do nothing just like most decisions With Mother Nature.

@ ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ » Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:06 am Utter Bullshit. Either they have only received only 1 shot and thereby not got a complete vaccination or the just told you rubbish. Even at the first shot they give you a blue card with a QR Code, you Name, Passport, Mug Shot directly after the 1. shot and the Type of Vaccine you received (on the back of the card) Often enough you'll also find the date for the 2. shot at the back of the card. So no card after vaccination sounds like rubbish to me. Everything here went without a hinch for EVERYONE, foreigners and locals alike, unlike the mess in many other countries.

'Karen' is colour blind. I think predominately white but nothing to stop member of other races being a tit also. As you kindly demonstrate. :-)

Yes, you are well placed to comment on what this anonymous internet handle would do. Given that you know me so well, eh?
