At the end of the day we are not mechanical ants! We all want a house on the beach or in the mountains. Not a fncking collective farm. People convincing you otherwise are corrupt, cowardly, naive or stupid.
If you want to play "Control Games"--keep it to The Bedroom!
The irony. We could all have a house on the beach or in the mountains if capitalism was regulated more equitably, if everybody paid taxes, if governments spent taxes providing healthcare and free education.
It's not about being pro-communism, it's about everybody being treated the same, and both communism and capitalism (but especially modern western capitalism)have proved that blindly following a doctrine is a huge mistake,
Greed, an inescapable part of human nature, must be closely watched if either system is to benefit the majority.
Communism is collapsing, and so is western capitalism.
The presence of so many expats in Cambodia, from both economic systems, kind of proves that.
I not only agree, but you are right. El Salvadore's ecomonomy is thriving since they became the only country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender. Many companies have moved the business to the Central American country, including setting up the new HQs in the country.
Through crowdfunding a philanthropic dentist easily surpassed his target of 1 BTC (~$47,000 at the time), to enable free dentistry including home visits.
Consumerism is on the way out; bye bye banks, bye bye US (usurping won't work, so forget successors). Most countries are resistant due to the power held by banks, but they are succumbing.
Warren Buffet and Bill Gates have twigged, finally. Others like Rick Falkvinge are quoted as saying words to the effect,
"Bitcoin will do to banks, what email did to the postal sevice".
My favourite backer of the new era, with Bitcoin and the fall of consumerism, is Professor Milton Friedman, a Nobel Prize winner in economics. He foresaw the death of consumerism and a new era beginning, and he said
"all that is needed now, is an e-currency."
He died in 2006 – 2 years before cryptocurrency was launched.
"This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius, age of..."
The world is revolting.
Much like a major bodily malfunction, like a hip or back, where there are aches for years, followed by a collapse, it has been slow and then it will be sudden. Target date: 2025.
IMO.
