great read;
and this sentence nails khmers, "....“Cambodians are very selfish. If it doesn’t affect them, they don’t interfere,” Mam laments."

Cambodia Weaponizes COVID-19 in its Struggle Against Striking Workers
"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
I had a suspicion early on that covid19 was released to end the protests in Hong Kong. It worked a little too well.
"Goodness me! Now STD free..."
Josep Prat
Josep Prat is a freelance journalist which is on sombody's paylist. Cambodia has done exceptionally well to keep the Corona Pandemic at bay. The Naga Casino Workers simply faced the same consequences as everybody else , so what ? There are always forces that try to raise some "Human Rights" shit along the way to use it for another purpose like to trigger another "color revolution". Not with this government anyway. They know how a duck looks like: qacks,walks and looks like one than it is a duck mostly painted with stars and stripes.

I don't know, but it seems PR is desperately unhappy here. Constant comparisons with Thailand and put-downs of Cambodia. Why not go and live in Thailand? Serious question.
The protestors were actually privileged, for several weeks they protested and were not forced to follow social distancing rules that the rest of the country was supposed to.
On several occasions, they were ASKED/REQUESTED to disperse from the area near the Australian embassy.
Is the author genuinely suggesting that the mass of protesters were uniquely immune to the various COVID strains?
I thought they had had enough time to voice their agenda, and was quite surprised that the protest went on for so long in a high-profile area.

I take comments from guests ( who are usually members afraid to post under their own handle) as worthless drivel

Sensationalist garbage. I'm bored of this propaganda.
