Best Indian restaurant?
i tried Taste Budz recently, thanks for reco, been back twice already.
i want to try just about every item on their menu, it's so good (to my Indian-unsophisticated new york palate).
also, Jameson is only $2 there...

That place is pretty 'authentic' Indian.
When I lived in Bangkok I asked an Indian coworker for his recommendation for the best Indian restaurant. He told me his favorite place then preceeded to tell me that I should only get carry outs because the restaurant was dirty and roach infested. I decided not to go.
it changed hands about two months ago and is now Amutham.Surprised no one has mentioned East India on Bank Street.
mixed feelings about the food - fish masala was great but small (two meager pieces of fish?!), aloo palak was ok.
Ask him to make some Kerala stuff not on the menu, and you’re in for a treatlemo wrote:i tried Taste Budz recently, thanks for reco, been back twice already.

It seems those bloody Indians have too much time on their hands. They've only gone and made up a load of stupid new names for curry - the twats.spitthedog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 7:30 pmGoodness gracious me.

While maybe not the BEST in terms of quality - by far the best in terms of value are
Curry in a Hurry, Buryani Box and In a Roll
All exclusivly delivery only and all seem to be made in the same kitchen near Independent Monument but for $5/6 it's a baragain.

I was in Taste Budzzz yesterday for the as usual excellent thali, bread replaced with dosa, and the boss was decrying the number of restaurants calling themselves Indian. Most are Nepali and Bangla he said. Fine if you like north Indian. Southern man myself.
