InterNations PP high class Social Club
I keep on seeing this establishment advertising on Facebook for the last 5 or 6 years seemingly for people with proper 'etiquette.' I am Just curious if anyone here is part of this social club. Can you not pay to be a member, and simply turn up and buy your own drink/food or what not and be accepted?

It depends. Would you be wearing your usual wifebeater outfit?

No. The events are at venues where you can’t get in without signing in and conforming

Sounds like somebody profiteering off the wannabe instinct found in social climbers, of which there are many in SE Asia. The constant need to reassure oneself that one has arrived, a symptom of nouveau riche or pretenders.
Any fool would know that the kind of events they 'create' or host can be found on the calendars of most of the more expensive hotels and restaurants, where prices form some kind of barrier to the less wealthy.

While some engage to climb, some just want to socialise in a new city.lucretia wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 8:19 amSounds like somebody profiteering off the wannabe instinct found in social climbers, of which there are many in SE Asia. To add it was free to join or used to be. You just had to fill out a form for it and get approved. You'd pay for the main events but they'd be subsidised e.g. $30 included 2 cocktails and some canapes.

That’s how I remember it too - but I walked away after turning up at the first event I tried. Not my thing. Not inter it wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 2:43 pmTo add it was free to join or used to be. Indeed. Thankfully there's little chance of running into the likes of the chicken at venues like Sofitel or even khema eventslucretia wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 8:19 amAny fool would know that the kind of events they 'create' or host can be found on the calendars of most of the more expensive hotels and restaurants, where prices form some kind of barrier to the less wealthy.
His boundaries are probably places like near Larry's, I mean the minimart across it where Vlad used to make appearances when he could still afford transportation.

Exactly. If one has to come to Cambodia to be pretentious...the irony is evident to all (except logos, but he also thinks TESLA will rocket)
