it took 10 months to gather 3,800 cases and 60 deaths
in the last 2 weeks there have been an additional 3,579 cases and 4 additional deaths
doesn't look very promising for Thailand to be "open for tourism" anytime soon.

Be hard to stop a Thai going back home to see family during the holidays.
"I don't care what the people are thinking, i ain't drunk i'm just drinking"
Phuket will be in a better position to clarify, but I'm hearing that certain parts of Thai economy are opening up effective today. Is that the case?
I'd like to get over there as soon as I can.

Yeah, or so to say, Cambodia is showing an excellent track record. Let's hope, things don't go haywire, in the upcoming 2-3-4 weeks, when (maybe) the borders open again (maybe not, given the out-of-control situation in Thailand).
