“ More than 55 million methamphetamine tablets and over 1.5 tonnes of crystal methamphetamine were intercepted by Lao police on Wednesday, who stopped a truck carrying beer crates in northern Bokeo, which borders Thailand and Myanmar, two sources told Reuters.”
“ It is three times the meth tablets that Laos seized all last year, and close to a third of the crystal meth”
Do you want a beer with that?

FINALLY we find out why Beer Lao tastes so good.
General truths are not always true.
One general truth, "Police/Authorities interdict less less than 20% of drug shipments, and generally less than 10%." If true in this case, it implies a hell of a lot of meth is moving and selling during the pandemic. BIG money is being made.
Evergrande might be a big deal in China, but all that drug grey money will need washing somewhere. It MAY be (?) that Burma is too unsettled currently to easily rinse millions and millions of dirty dollars, if so, the boom in Cambodian construction of largely empty condos, and under utilized casinos - I mean under-utilized by real, breathing, individual gamblers - could not only continue in 2022, 2023, it might ramp up!
Time will tell.
