The Future of the US Dollar
It is hard to explain a received opinion.
None but ourselves can free our mind.
In probability theory and related fields, a stochastic or random process is a mathematical object usually defined as a family of random variables.
A stochastic oscillator is a momentum indicator comparing a particular closing price of a security to a range of its prices over a certain period of time.
In technical analysis of securities trading, the stochastic oscillator is a momentum indicator that uses support and resistance levels. Dr. George Lane developed this indicator in the late 1950s. The term stochastic refers to the point of a current price in relation to its price range over a period of time.
The "fast" stochastic indicator is taken as %D = 3-period moving average of %K. The general theory serving as the foundation for this indicator is that in a market trending upward, prices will close near the high, and in a market trending downward, prices close near the low.

The Core CPI excludes energy and food.scobienz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 12:32 pmWho would have that we might see deflation as the world economy tried to restart after a being shut down for months? There has been no demand artificially for months kff - of course prices will be low to restimulate spending. Fuel prices are a perfect example and fuel prices are a major driver of inflation.
Why not take the time to think through these things for yourself instead of relying on videos and articles to represent your lazy-arsed opinion?

True, but if anything excluding them reinforces my point, particularly as demand for food is inelastic, and if anything prices have risen slightly in recent months.
As shops open up after being dormant for months, isn't it likely that deep discounts will happen to restimulate demand. In the UK, it is anticipated that massive discounts will be available. We know already for example that travel is cheaper, because prices online have already dropped for the summer. Shops are already starting to promote their discounts on tv, even before opening.
Deflation is inevitable. At least for a while.

I've been playing quite a bit of reckless Texas Holdem lately. I've been betting big on possible straights, and going all-in with three-of-a-kind when there are 3 suited cards in the flop. Needless to say, I've lost a ton of cash. However, the great thing is that however much I lose and however reckless I play, the FED just keeps giving me more at 0%. I can't lose.

i.e. winning percentage replaced by whining percentageA good poker winning percentage at the micro stakes games like NL2 and NL5 can be as high as 90%. But once you get to higher stakes like NL25 and NL50 your winning percentage will be much lower at around 60%. Winning high stakes poker players may only book a win a little over 50% of the time.

I think nearly everyone is still sucking up dollars as they still see it as the most liquid asset and a store of wealth.spitthedog wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:55 pmThe USD index has held up well compared to many asset classes.
I reckon all the Chinky's have been swamping up the dollars even more since Corona kicked off, leaving the Riel possibly vulnerable.
I find it unlikely that so much investment would take place in the KOW if the main currency was Yuan.
At the same time the banks, super wealthy and the wise, are taking bigger positions in less liquid assets to hedge themselves.
We're not ready for a digital Yuan or New Dollar SDR just yet. Let's hope the scaffolding the super-bright have erected around the over-inflated economy doesn't collapse.

This article also seems to skip that there isn't a single blockchain with the technological capacity to roll out globally. The numbers are astonishingly large to make existing crypto currencies nothing more than a play thing.

Let the whole thing crash. People shouldn't have been such idiots trusting the small group of sociopaths running it all. Al Capone warned everyone way back when.

That article is brilliant. It should help to keep the idiots away. Can I suggest people invest in crashed stocks and government bonds? Much less volatile.Spigzy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 11:43 amWhy Bitcoin Is Not a Viable Currency Option
