Official meaning having a marriage certificate? That we do have but we did not followed the process. We went to the commune office at her village and did our thumbprints and everything. Her aunt gave us a piece of land and my name is on the Definitive of sales paper work.
I just want to bring my wife to the U.S.
In November im going there to see her again for a month. I wanted 3 months but my work only gave me a month.

If you got legally married in Cambodia without having to jump through the foreigner hoops, you should be OK. The embassy should accept that.
You mention meeting in 2016 was that in person? How many times have you met her in person and for how many weeks/months total?
The trip back for a month is an excellent idea. Keep all proof of all the trips and all the time spent together in person, your passport stamps, flight tickets, boarding passes, hotel receipts, apartment leases, etc. When you submit documents to the embassy, stress the length of the in person relationship, time spent together, the number of days spent in Cambodia with her since 2016, etc.
Don't just say "We met in 2016" if you met in person. Stress the in person part. You want to distinguish yourself from the knuckleheads who are asking to marry a woman they have met once for two weeks.

OP says they have physically been in the same country for a month in 2019. And will have another month in 2022.
Is that enough?

In 2016 we met in person but I was only there for 2 weeks, I wanted to go visit the mother land for the first time and see Angkor wat. I didn’t expect anything till I found her. We voice/video chat almost everyday until our engagement ceremony in 2019, I was there for a month, 8 of my family members including my daughter also went . In 2020 I went again for a month and a half. In November 2022 I’m going again. My time off have been approved, plane tickets bought, and now just counting down the days.
GMJS-440,
Thank you for these useful information.
The process im talking about is that U.S. citizen needed to coordinate with the U.S. Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affair and Interior. I was told that the marriage certificate was only known at the Commune level and not with the Ministry level.
1 month in 2019, 1 and a half month in 2020, and I’m going there for a month in November 2022.

How were you introduced to her? Does she have an aunt in the USA who suggested you marry her? The embassy doesn't like that.

If you were issued an official Marriage Certificate from the Sangkat, then the details of your marriage were recorded in the Marriage Registrar, which is submitted and recorded on a National level....you are legally married.MagU wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 8:44 amGMJS-440,

You were lucky you weren't required to go through the normal process that a foreigner has to go through to marry a Cambodian Citizen, because technically you are a Cambodian Citizen (by birth) even if you haven't formalised your Citizenship through the Department of Identification.

Could that be part of the problem? Like it’s easy for anyone to claim they’re Cambodian but if you don’t have the paperwork to show it then you’d might as well claim to be a cat.PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 10:56 pmYou were lucky you weren't required to go through the normal process that a foreigner has to go through to marry a Cambodian Citizen, because technically you are a Cambodian Citizen (by birth) even if you haven't formalised your Citizenship through the Department of Identification.
What problem? He has an official Cambodian Marriage Certificate, therefore he is legally married in Cambodia.nerdlinger wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:11 pmCould that be part of the problem? I don't know anything about the US Visa process, just commenting on his marriage status as he seemed a bit confused.
