Here is a recent promotional video that was created by some locals and ex-pats in Siem Reap. Good effort to attract visitors, I'm sure there will be a lot more like this coming. Some really nice aerial views in 4k HD. Cheers Fellas.

Beautiful Cambodia "Where do we go from here?"
Agreed! Some great shots. Like birdlife as one of several focus points, together with the emphasis on nature and ancient temples without the crowds. 2020 had a nice mini-boom in Cambodian youth exploring some of the country's best nature. That adventurous spirit, I expect, is needed very early in Cambodia's drive to reopen to international tourists. The video will appeal to them.

General vibe here in Australia is there is going to be a stampede overseas the moment there is no need for isolating on arrivals. There's alot of pent up cash waiting to be blown.
I think you might see a return to pre Covid tourist arrivals very quickly in KoW and other SEA countries. Throw in all the wives returning for a long overdue visit and the septugerians needing a root.....

I think the general vibe in Oz is positive, but only just.
Lots of people have lost jobs and businesses. There’s one that was 150 years old or so, can’t remember the name, and COVID has pushed it over the edge. (Might be J Furphy but I can’t find any news about it?)
Edit: It’s ES Wigg and Son in SA. 173 years old.

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
That'll depend on the countries that declare..and prepare...themselves open for business and the marketing etc they conduct....Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 10:16 ami doubt u will see a return of tourist pre covid numbers till the 24/25 high season at the earliestricecakes wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 6:34 amGeneral vibe here in Australia is there is going to be a stampede overseas the moment there is no need for isolating on arrivals. I doubt we'll ever see consumer tourism at pre-covid levels. The days of white garbage oozing out on local girls with teenage outfits are a thing of the past. Air and sea transport are big polluters. We have an international concern for our environment. The culture of consumption is a burden on society and must be localized and modified according to less polluting standards.
It is likely increased volume of Chinese tourists will fill any vacuum to bring levels up to pre-covid.
