Is there any chance after my quarantine that I would be able to extend my visa at all? I want to stay longer than 2 months. What are my options right now? I would be in transit next week
Business Visa Help
What if I offer a bribe to a person at a school so they can give me a job? Or what if I get a job for a month and then quit after I obtain my visa? Is any of this possible right now?PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 9:50 pm1. There is no such thing as a 1 year Business Visa. You can apply for the E-type (Ordinary) Visa (often incorrectly referred to as the Business Visa) in advance from a Cambodian Embassy or Consulate, this is valid for 3 months to use for entry, and you are only granted a 1 month period of Stay upon arrival. You can then apply for a 12 month EB (Business) EOS (Extension of Stay) once in Cambodia.
2. The criteria for obtaining the E-type Visa in advance varies from Embassy to Embassy, unfortunately most are requiring applicants to provide business/employment related supporting documentation, if you can't meet their criteria, then no E-type Visa.
3. There are many dodgy c**nts selling supporting documentation for a ludicrous price...it is fraudulent and if discovered you not only risk being denied the Visa, but also possible blacklisting... proceed at your own risk if approached.
4. Currently you cannot convert from a Tourist Visa to an E-type Visa in country.
5. It doesn't sound as if your requirement to get here is urgent, just wait a while, it is likely Visas on Arrival will be available again soon.
P.S. there is no quarantine if you are fully vaccinated, unless coming from one of 10 Southern African Nations.

Anything is possible, but not all things are recommended.Z3RO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:06 amWhat if I offer a bribe to a person at a school so they can give me a job? Why would you be in quarantine?
Your best bet is to contact an agent. Try Call Kim on FB.

Realistically offering a bribe to a school to give me supporting documents on company paper, what are the possible consequences for such a small offense?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:17 amAnything is possible, but not all things are recommended.Z3RO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:06 amWhat if I offer a bribe to a person at a school so they can give me a job? I’ve talked to Kim who told me conversion of T visa to E visa is not possible. I would need a job offer to get the E visa. I’m just wondering if I get a job on a T visa would they be willing to allow me a longer stay?(1 year)YaTingPom wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:19 amWhy would you be in quarantine?

I doubt you’d be offered a job on a T but no harm in trying. If that’s the case you’d have to leave and get an E at an embassy along with your job offer.

No, I mean offering a bribe to obtain proper supporting documents for an E visa via embassy. I just need an organization in Cambodia to offer me a job. I’ll take the job then quit, never showing. Stay 1 year and go home, no harm no foul.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:45 amIf Kim says that then take that as gospel.Z3RO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:22 amI’ve talked to Kim who told me conversion of T visa to E visa is not possible. Of course, most over here have regular jobs. And all having largely arranged their paperwork according to what the Cambodian government does request. It's not that difficult. Be it through a helpful agent, or just by themselves. No need to drink, for that.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:35 pmWho are these people drinking all day, that you keep mentioning?
Most regulars on here have jobs.
Don't worry, once you quit your job, that'll be reported to the government (Free up the foreigners in the company quota) and your WP will be revoked. Then, you have X-time to get a new job/WP, before your visa is canceled. Once your visa is canceled, they know where you live (foreigner registration by the house owner) and they come after youZ3RO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:58 amNo, I mean offering a bribe to obtain proper supporting documents for an E visa via embassy. Of course, you can try to stay in the shady less registered environment, though, then your living quality will be accordingly. No problem, when you combine that with an all-day drinking festival. Enjoy !

I've lived here a long time and I'm sceptical about much of that.
Do WP's get revoked? I thought they were valid for entire year.
Visa's aren't cancelled for lack of WP, are they?
Technically they should know where you live, but that is putting a lot of faith in inter agency cooperation. And in quality of system.
I think what the OP suggests may work, I wouldn't do it, but they could probably ride under the radar for quite a while.

I’ve never heard of it getting revoked. I’ve heard of expats making a living off of this. They offer to get people in certain countries and then they just have a business owner in said country forge docs for them and they get the visaផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 12:00 pm^^^^

Dude I was going to have a Khmer girl I know do all the negotiations for me and tell the Cambodian school guy I’m her boyfriend and she wants me to stay, etc. they will never see me, only herv12 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 11:43 amDon't worry, once you quit your job, that'll be reported to the government (Free up the foreigners in the company quota) and your WP will be revoked. I *think* that as long as you aren't a pedophile, a con artist or any other undesirable that has Scotland yard/MI6/F BI/CIA/KGB/INTERPOL/MS-DOS chasing after you then it could be possible.Z3RO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 12:38 pmI’ve never heard of it getting revoked. But if you fall foul of the law while here then your sketchiness will rise up and bite you on the ass very quickly.
Again though. I wouldn't do it.
Also if applying for jobs, make sure your email address isn't [email protected]
