Entry to Cambodia News: Return of VOA's - no more C19 testing
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
And for those wondering what "fully vaccinated" means...
As per the MoH's SOP on the new Entry Requirements:
All fully vaccinated travellers should present their vaccination card/certificate in order to be eligible for quarantine free entry.
- Confirmation of complete vaccination status
- Final dose required to have been administered at least 14 days prior to arrival
- Must state:
• Travellers Name
• Type of Vaccine
• Date of vaccination's
*NOTE: Must be hard copy (not digital on phone/tablet), if it is a card then make a colour photocopy, if digital then print out in colour (assuming the original card/cert is actually in colour).

Where it says ''Final dose required to have been administered at least 14 days prior to arrival'''; is final dose the 2nd jab or 3rd?

reason i asked:
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/travel/holid ... ort-expire
.New vaccine-passport expiry rules applicable to all EU member states came into effect on February 1. While the rules are only applicable to intra-EU travel, it’s expected that some countries will follow the same guidance for visitors from outside of the EU, including the UK.
Under the new rules, vaccine passports will expire 270 days after the final dose of an accepted vaccine — this currently includes Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Novavax. Vaccine-passport validity can be extended for an as yet undetermined period of time through a booster jab; the European Commission is still reviewing data on how long the protection offered by booster jabs will last

It is referring to the final required dose, so if the table says 2 doses, then the 2nd dose. There is no requirement for boosters, yet.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 7:16 amHI

My guess, and this is just a guess, is that no booster requirement will be implemented.
That's the way things were trending around the world a couple of months ago but I think requiring boosters has lost momentum as people are now finally allowed to say out loud that the vaccines don't do all the much much to prevent you from getting and transmitting COVID.
At some stage there will be a crayon edition of what vaccines do.superguest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:55 amThat's the way things were trending around the world a couple of months ago but I think requiring boosters has lost momentum as people are now finally allowed to say out loud that the vaccines don't do all the much much to prevent you from getting and transmitting COVID.
They primarily reduce the effects of COVID. I haven't seen a single claim by manufacturers or knowledgeable people that they absolutely prevent one getting or transmitting it.
This has been stated billions of times, perhaps some need a daily reminder.

Cambodia has denied lifting the mandatory quarantine mandatory for unvaccinated travallers.
Premier Hun Sen said that the Minister of Tourism Thong Khon requested him for considering to lift the mandatory quarantine for unvaccinated travellers, the same as Vietnam is planning to do so, but he said that the request has been denied.
“Because we are pushing people to get vaccinated against Covid-19, if we lift the mandatory quarantine for unvaccinated people, people might be thinking that being vaccinated is less important, and we can’t let unvaccinated travellers move freely as this will affect the herd immunity goal in our community,” he said.

So how come Covid infections have dropped significantly, in the UK especially. Is that natural immunity or because of the vaccine?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 10:12 pmBut I know someone who was vaccinated and they still got covid. We’ll never know.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Nothing to do with covid, but relevant if you travel to Cambodia on a VOA.
They no longer require an ID picture, in fact they scrapped the visa application form altogether. It also means no more $3 scam for a copy of your passport if you don't have a picture.
Immigration looks (a bit) faster than pre-covid times. Time will tell if that'll last. I also noticed a lot more immigration desks for the final passport control.
