- From may 1st
- you need to be fully vaccinated OR have a 72hrs pre departure PCR test
- Land borders to reopen
- COVID insurance down to $10k
The Thai pass... remains in place, but only to upload your vaccination docs (and insurance)
Not 100% perfect but a real change nevertheless.

They had little choice given their economic dire situation and neighbouring countries policies.

This might bear some elaboration as I read the linked source
- you need to be fully vaccinated OR have a 72hrs pre departure PCR test
The OR still involves five days quarantine on arrival and a negative test at the end of that period.
It's a start, though. It won't be too long before the quarantine requirement gets dropped as well and the testing will follow but that will linger for longer than it should because it's too good a moneymaker.

Fully vacc's means 2 shots
Insurance is reduced to $10,000. Thailand Pass remains to verify insurance and vaccination status but will be much quicker.
note, you cant apply for this new program until AFTER may 1st
from Richard Barrow:
"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
Fully vaccinated depends on what shots you’ve had. One dose of JJ/Jansenn two for Pfizer.
But then some countries insist on fully vaccinated means initial dose(s) and boosters when you’re eligible.

pew, pew, pew, pew!
- Thailand accepts pretty much any vaccine, min 2 shots (not sure about j&j) as proof of vaccination
- there will be NO quarantine for unvaxxed with a negative 72hrs predeparture PCR test
In a nutshell, it'll be almost as easy as Cambodia
