Anyone who exited recently and paid their fines? Given this notice was done retroactively there should be more than few who have fines
Yes, I noticed the letter above didn't include an exact date. Just April 2022.ephrium wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 7:02 amAnyone who exited recently and paid their fines? Given this notice was done retroactively there should be more than few who have fines

Clearly states 22nd April 2022JollyBee wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 1:26 pm

Several reports in the Visa group, those who acted quickly (within a few days) were able to avoid overstay fines due to the Notice not being made public, others have had to pay overstay fines with effect 22nd April. Many agents can still facilitate a conversion for those on expired Tourist visas to an E-type Visa EOS, but overstay fines still need to be paid, plus $150 for the conversion.ephrium wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 7:02 amAnyone who exited recently and paid their fines? There is no justification for anyone who is still here on an expired Tourist visa thinking that the exemption is still in place, been given plenty of time to convert or leave the country.

Oh, is that what those two squiggles mean. I presume they hand wrote it in Khmer ? Which is odd as they typed the 3 April in the document. It looks like people had to pay fines from the 3 April but I wasn't sure when the letter was released to the people affected IE the visa waiver holders. You're saying the 22 April? Only 19 days past the mark. Very nice of them to give the very few, who raced as soon as they heard, a waiver. Glad to see the ministry are maintaining standards.
The "2 squiggles" clearly say "22"....3rd April is In relation to the original exemption Directive from 2020, as clearly stated...attention to detail!JollyBee wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:44 pmOh, is that what those two squiggles mean.
