Never had any gyp with this in the past, but changed times and all that.
Are the Siams currently fine about flying in on a one-way ticket?
Thanks.

Sometimes at checkin with your airline if your entering with a visa exempt, they want to see a ticket onwards but seldom if you have a visa

Thanks, chaps.
I booked the Samui-Phnom Penh direct flight back in the end as one of us has to be back anyway. Fools that work.
$150 and about an hour. Cool addition to our options.

I have only had the airline check for onward travel, typically stateside. Emirate air in Saigon/HCM asked me a couple years back for proof that I had traveled to Cambodia prior as my passport was new. Showed them my old passport and I was on my way. Now they are checking vax cards but that seems to be about it.

I flew PNH-BKK two weeks ago on a one way ticket. I was only allowed on board with it because I could show enough cash (300$ in this case, seemed a random number to me). If I hadn't I was denied unless I bought a return ticket on the spot.
Well I reckon that PP-Samui flight will definitely require an onward. They even made us print out the e-ticket, which is pretty stupid, insisting Thai immigration required it - this was of course bollocks.
Sadly, I can't see that flight lasting. Just 13 people on a full-sized plane.

I was last there in 2015 and will never return, way overbuilt ( had a hard time finding Chaweng beach thru all the shop houses) and overpriced and i was living in Phuket

On the north coast, which is OK, but it's kind of Ibiza. The planning controls are pretty good - all the crap is on the coast and the mountains are relatively untouched.
But there is hardly anyone here. I imagine the return of the masses will be horrid. I heard a shopkeeper yesterday wishing the Chinese were back.
