Birthday cake
I highly recommend GK Bake, she can create pretty much any design and flavour you desire, reasonably priced, and delivery is included.

My kids and all of the family really enjoy her cakes, there are never any leftovers. Much better than the flavourless, mock cream, style local cakes, and way better than the overpriced, overrated cakes from Bloom and other similar bakeries.

I had one from Hawaii Cake Shop which was nice. Can’t remember if they had much targeted at 4yos though.

Great question.
I hate the $5, $8 and $10 cakes from local shops. And the top end cakes can be tasty- but sometimes they seem to focus more on presentation - but they are far too expensive for a household birthday.
GK bake is taking a break for a good few weeks starting soon. So would be good to hear of any alternatives to use until they start back up again.

How about the expensive places like Eric Keyser or something? Prices are really ridiculous but how's the quality?
My eldest wanted an ice-cream cake for her last birthday, ordered one from Swensen's via Nham24, was delicious and a hit with all the kids.
Crumbs Homemade Cakes are apparently very good, I haven't tried them.

NK Bakery & Cake are often recommended, I haven't tried them either.
