Haggis
Happy Burns Day
Why isn’t Cambodia (with its penchant for entrails and Offaly) a major manufacturer of haggis?

I’d imagine that the global market for haggis is pretty small.
It tastes fine, but if you are going to eat it wouldn’t you rather get it from a Scots company who have been making it for hundreds of years rather than from Sokkha in his flip flops and dirty fingernails?

How many sheep have you seen in Cambodia?
And agree with above poster: when you get the real deal in Scotland, it is actually pretty good. Haggis, neeps, and tatties are not half bad with a good pint.

Quite a few. Chams keep them. I've had haggis a few times and it's always been good.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

I think I can do without Haggis to be honest.

Plus, considering what gets pumped into a few things in more than one SE Asian country (thinking of prawns and that chilli sauce off the top of my head), the possibilities for haggis would be too enticing (thinking of dead debt collectors).
I’d love to know more about how the food Ag area is progressing in Cambodia - changes in work culture, practices, standards, etc. is progress being made? Is it too much to expect too soon if farmers are in poverty? Are there food supply-chain audits? I suppose corruption would be rife even if there are.
Anyway, in the absence of haggis on Burns night, there’s always whisky (no e).
