Remember this dude, taking his cannon to an Obama protest? Other people around him don't seem bothered.RobW wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 3:40 pmI find the open carry only laws even weirder.
I can understand someone having a little pepper pot tucked in his boot but a guy in a suit with a fucking great Colt bouncing on his thigh is bizarre.
Could be sexy in a woman thinking about it. I'm off to Google gun porn.
Here's Joseph Newgarden celebrating his Indy win on Saturday in Texas.

Do you know a certain gun company are firing lots of cash into the Indy races?
It's quite uncomplicated.
If I had been allowed to walk around with a hand iron I would most certainly have shot someone and definitely myself on one of the dark nights of the soul.

@jep, It's just another example of the pervasive nature of firearms in the US. I don't really give a fuck about this driver, in fact I'd never heard of him before today.

Americans as a society seem rather comfortable with mass shootings, children being gunned down in school and what-not. I guess that is the society they want, just as long as they keep it to themselves and don't try exporting the concept.
Perhaps not so much 'comfortable', but desensitised and it's not just the USA but the world generally. That state of mind, desensitivity, is possibly a bigger threat than some random nutter going postal.
