I don't think the dollar will be replaced by a competing currency any time soon but these negotiations are significant and show which way the wind is blowing. It is a dent in the dollar's armour. The pound sterling was once the world's reserve currency but it eventually lost out to the dollar. Obviously the two world wars were a catalyst but I think it would have happened regardless.

A significant development with a Ramadan cease-fire agreed. Hopefully it augers a longer-term cessation of hostilities, however for now it allows for the flow of much needed aid.

And now Hadi has effectively stood down by transferring all of his powers to a presidential council, sacking Deputy President Al-Ahmar in the process.
There is a long way to go, however it is an important step in the direction of peace.

The truce in Yemen still seems to be holding. The odd violation here and there, but by and large holding.
Interfactional skirmishes within the anti-Houthi alliance pop up and Al-Qaeda remain a problem for both sides, however for an exhausted population there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Panavia, which makes Tornado fighters, and a few other British companies, must be hoping the truce doesn't hold.

The truce remains in place though in-fighting within the anti-Houthi alliance risks flaring, with some notable incidents recently.
Some tribal fighting between Houthi-aligned forces has also been observed.
In all life for civilians is slowly improving and the appetite for direct engagement from UAE & Saudi appears to have waned.

The truce officially finished early October, however a return to fighting hasn't occurred with Houthi-Saudi talks being the main forum. Unfortunately it excludes much of the anti-Houthi coalition (notably the Southern Transitional Council) so things remain tense. Still, the longer the sides refrain from full conflict the better.

Saudi Arabia & Iran reestablished diplomatic ties, providing real hope for a long-term solution to the war in Yemen. There is a chance to build upon the existing truce, now several months old.
The Houthi's & the internationally recognised Yemeni government are holding talks, again, on a prisoner swap. This would go a long way to build confidence between the two parties, though needs to actually happen; they've had plenty of talks over the past five years.
The other main non-Yemeni player in the conflict is the UAE (who back the Southern Transitional Council), though UAE has an existing functional relationship with Iran.

Many EU states will not be happy if there is peace:

I can't find any mention of European weapons after that introduction. It's just a summary of Yemen's history over the past 50 or so years. This report builds on the results of these research efforts and combines them to present an overall picture of how European weapons fuel the war in Yemen.

Whilst there are interest groups within some EU states that benefit from the ongoing conflict (notably munitions suppliers), the states themselves have broader economic and social goals that are better advanced by peace in Yemen than conflict.
