Global warming in Britain
It's been discovered that the Met Office global surface temperature record from 1975 was boosted over 14% at the end of 2020. At the same time, the period between 1880-1975 was cooled, increasing the apparent warming.

Hasn't changed my stance one bit:
1. Cataclysmic climate change is inevtiable - the Earth has gone through it many times, enjoy the current tranquility, but we must prepare for the worst; man made or mother nature made, the end game is the same, it is just a question of time.
2. Don't make the man-made bit worse; clean up our act, more nuclear power, less oil, plastic, etc.

I can't understand why someone hasn't invested in making protractors and rulers etc out of wood again.Spigzy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:34 pmHasn't changed my stance one bit:

There's so many other products that could be made from renewables.
To accomplish that we need to have more people working on the land. Politicians really don't want to fix the problem they just want to sell things that make you think you're contributing to the effort!
Exponential growth and climate change action is incompatible.

I did, oddly enough, and it directly discusses snow cover in the Alps to emphasise that there has been no material change in weather over a given period and then discusses Northern Hemisphere snow cover, but not that of the Alps, to prove its point.Fred Edwards wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 8:43 pmDid you read the article?

Be nice sitting on a beach in me shorts, with an ice cold beer on a beach under some palm trees in Cornwall on a Winters day though.

And there you have it , the logic of the denier. Let's make redundant tools out of wood and save the planet. When was the last time anyone bought a protractor after leaving school?
Why not make them out of recycled plastic?

Oh my god if anybody is in denial it's you. You have absolutely no understanding about the problem if you have any problem with my statement.Anthony's Wiener wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 8:27 amI can't understand why someone hasn't invested in making protractors and rulers etc out of wood again.Fred Edwards wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:17 pmI can't understand why someone hasn't invested in making protractors and rulers etc out of wood again.Spigzy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:34 pmHasn't changed my stance one bit:

Hopefully other people will school you in your naivety, cause it's not going to be me.
Your dislike for anything I post is blinding your comprehension.
