I was over in the UK all last week and was surprised how anti Boris it was in the office over there.
"Scumbag" was mentioned.
And the host on the radio didn't have a good word to say about him. Like he was the most evil man in the world.
I don't really follow UK politics alot, and have no real opinion on his politics, or actions, but he always came across as a decent enough guy.
One of the chaps, so to speak.
Maybe that was his problem?
You can't be one of the chaps in a room full of narcissism, and ruthless ambition.
Plus he rode a bicycle to work..
Bye-Bye Boris

Typical Yank trying to ape his idol Trump but not having the sand to mount a coup attempt however lame.
Brexit is a coffin nail.

Classical one nation Tories.
Johnson was a product of his time: Tories needed him at that time because the Brexit bandwagon was all powerful. There are other issues at play now and they will need a unifier.
While this will be good for party unity, it won’t be good for the Red wall MPs who owe position to a northern electorate who bizarrely voted Tory against their interests because the leader acted like Billy Bunter and he made them laugh. Now that he is gone, no other Tory candidate will appeal as much to them.
He is going to stay on till a new leader has been elected. That seems extremely unusual. I can't remember that happening before. I can only think that his 'backers' have more work to be done that they don't trust anyone else doing.
While im no fan of Johnson, it’s not really unusual what he is doing. I’m pretty sure the same thing happened with Cameron and May.
The only significant difference is the fact that he has lost so much of his cabinet this week and is having to back fill from the handful of dross backbenchers who still support him and who would never ordinarily be worthy of government posts.
There is also talk that if he doesn’t leave office Labour will force a vote of no confidence in the entire government which could lead to an election.
"One alternative would be for Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab to step in as caretaker. There's no precedent for that -- but there's also no precedent for more than 50 government officials to resign in two days in order to force a Prime Minister out.
"
After Theresa May resigned on May 24, 2019 it took until July 24 (2 months) for Boris Johnson to take over, but when David Cameron resigned on June 24, 2016 it took just a few weeks for May to take office on July 13.
I think Boris or his backers want him to stay at least 3 months.

"We're all in for a nightmare if he's allowed to squat," said Cummings.
