Worse? Mandatory Retirement, or Vaccination?
Worse? Mandatory Retirement, or Vaccination?
Of course, everyone desires freedom for themselves. People have different skills and want different things at different times. Yet we all accept the need for speed limits in school zones and thousands of other limits to total freedom. One quite commonly accepted limit is mandatory retirement, frequently at 60 or 65.
Which is more harsh, mandatory retirement, or mandatory Covid-19 vaccination?
Which is more harsh, mandatory retirement, or mandatory Covid-19 vaccination?
One thing is for sure, we (the world) wouldn't be in this mess if mandatory retirement at 65 was imposed on all politicians.

Depends on if you get it a pension, otherwise mandatory retirement destorys your livelyhood wheras the covid vax is just a little shot that even five year olds are expected to deal with. I know which one I'd choose.

They are both the worst thing ever in history.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Retirement is not 'mandatory' as you are still free to work after you've retired. Retirement is great, unless you are a replicant android with Rick Deckard on your case.
I care about retirement in combination with an active and creative lifestyle.

If vaccines had been mandatory and available all around the world, the Covid 19 crisis would have been history by now.

[yes I know that's not the quote]

If you don't get the vaccination, COVID may retire you long before 65
Retirement would drive me crazy.
I'm going to ride my fat govt junket as long as I can.
I have staff who are over 70 doing administration roles. Can't get rid.of them. No reason to as long as they perform.

Weeeell, you are obviously bored and have nothing better to do. But, I don't watch much YouTube. Like Twitter, it's for the almost completely illiterate and gormless... And the video you chose is not exactly relevant or representative of my style -- as the post I wrote above is neat and sensible, not sappy and incoherent like that guy in the video.Hot_Pink_Urinal_Mint wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 7:49 pmIs this you, bro?Orichá wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 2:00 pmIf vaccines had been mandatory and available all around the world, the Covid 19 crisis would have been history by now.

(So, here is my response to another reply you could have made on another thread, but didn't -- taken out of context -- just to mimic your irrelevant form of attack... )
...20, 40, 60 years from now...
...imagine weather dragons breathing second-rate 'bad pop' fire-breath all across the world... as ALL the trees burn down across the north of Canada, Russia and the Sweden... as heatwaves of 65 degrees Celsius (150 degrees F) in Texas kill 600,000 people all at once... as people starve to death and die of thirst everywhere all at once... Then, then -- do you think that the multinational oil companies like BP and Exxon, and the Senator Manchins, will STILL be taking out ads in the daily papers in defense of coal and oil? Or car makers will continue advertising their gas guzzlers on network cable? No, we will all be dead and dying and stupidly wondering 'why'? I noticed, last summer, when the 47 degree Celsius heatwave hit Canada -- all my Canadian friends were curiously speechless about it... So, we're all going to go real quick, just like walking down a path and suddenly a big 200 kilo tiger will be burning bright and real hungry before your soon-to-be-dead eyes !!!
(Maybe a few lucky insider investors will be able to afford Elon's and Jeff's super-duper aircon domes high up in the mountains away from the barbarians? How long will their little hydroponic gardens on Mars or Colorado last before the intense solar radiation breaks everything down? How they named that goofy Elon man-of-the-year, I'll never know. Who would buy a car that won't start if the internet is down and the app goes offline !? No thanks, bro -- give me a key, please !!! )
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR, cuz they ain't gonna be very many more, brother !!! And not because you are old, either...
