Finally got around to pulling a team together for this season, which also meant I finally got to renew the K440 league. All existing players should automatically be enrolled to the league now it is renewed.
For new players wishing to join, the code is: 2tnv1u (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/)
The winner gets bugger all.

Will be in again. Will be pretty useless. Again.
But will have fun, again!

I registered a team and I think I entered the league, but no confirmation from the website. Is there a way of confirming entry to the league please?
EDIT: Scratch that - a little investigation showed that my team is in the league...

There’s 34 currently, so clearly there are also players there who aren’t on K440.

Need to put a bit of effort this week into getting my final squad into shape, always tricky with so many inter-linked transfers still hanging in the balance. I seem to play my wildcard earlier and earlier every season to make sure I get up the rankings as quickly as possible before the template teams start to emerge and make it harder to progress. Currenty sitting with 2 Sheff U's and 2 Villians which makes me nervous.

Yep, that's the struggle - I can't really pick a side until those transfers are all done. The effect of Pogba staying/not staying at Man United for instance is a big issue - it looks like he's staying; so again could be worth a punt until November when he throws his toys out the pram again? Also Hazard leaving Chelsea - what impact does that have, surely huge, but then Pulisic has hit form already on pre-season friendlies.
I usually wait for the transfer window to play out as far as Friday night before locking it in - but be warned that the season starts on Friday this year. (seriously EPL, WTF).
I agree on the Wildcard, I spunk mine in GW4 or 5 in recent seasons; whenever I let it go beyond that I tend to fare really badly instead of just badly!

Off and running, decided on a curve ball move first match by triple captaining Salah on the basis of Norwich's weakened central defence and stated intention to attack, boozed up Friday night Anfield atmosphere, and knowing a good performance would guarantee stealing a march on the 40%+ that owned and were likely to captain him and possible the other 60% that didn't. Together with Van Dyk and Firmino a very positive 49 point haul. Looks like a couple of thousand had the same idea.

Was sorely tempted also to throw in a triple captain on Salah, also had VVD, but went for Robertson instead of Firmino; my forward line is weak- planning on a lot of 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 this season; perhaps even 5-4-1 on occasion.
36pt haul thanks to Salah, and apparently top 250k out of 5.5m this morning- I’m guessing you’re in nose bleed territory rl66?

I'm enjoying it for the few hours until tonight's bun fest Spigzy. Stayed up and watched the game, the Allison boys got off lightly with that Norwich goal and even though Norwich got pummelled first 45 I think they've got a bit of pace and youth about them that once they get their horrendous fixture start out the way may start to get them points.Spigzy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:42 amWas sorely tempted also to throw in a triple captain on Salah, also had VVD, but went for Robertson instead of Firmino; my forward line is weak- planning on a lot of 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 this season; perhaps even 5-4-1 on occasion.

Sounds like we won't get a look at a lot of the new boys this week, striker wise I want to see your new boy Haller at West Ham, Kean of Everton and Abraham/Batshuayi under Lampard. Chelsea could offer great value if they can gel. If the new options settle in quick with a good fixture run I can see good 6m-8m options to compete with the premium boys we can't afford if going Salah/Sterling. Didn't even consider Kane, Aguero or Aubameyang in my drafts due to budget.

A 25-point haul from the Mighty Reds that I'm not unhappy with.
I recently enjoyed a nice few days in Watford, so I've captained Troy Deeney. We'll see how that goes.
Reckon the 'Pool will perhaps surpass City this time.
But the EPL definitely needs Forest back!

I was about to say you’re bloody mad re: Deeney, but that last sentence takes the biscuit!!springrain wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:29 pmA 25-point haul from the Mighty Reds that I'm not unhappy with.

Let’s see if Wet Spam can prevent Man City from scoring 4 for the 4(?)th time ... only 0-1 at the moment ... (unlucky Aguero owners, so far..!) #COYI

Matey, may I remind you about the great Brian Clough and the double European Champions?
Anyway, football is the best (after Cricket!)
