Xmas/NY dining options
Xmas/NY dining options
Given that not all of us can afford the Christmas brunch at Raffles ($125++ but it does have a foie gras station), any good options out there?
Always do mine at home & eat turkey leftovers for a week like you're supposed to. I'm not taking random strangers in though sorry!
I heard Palace Gate Hotel did a great deal last year, a bit less eye-watering, but I didn't attend sorry so can't give full story. My gripe is that I want a LOT of turkey, not just two slices with one carrot and one broccoli floret plus a sad single pan roasted baby potato. Sod the French nouvelle cuisine twat that set that as the "norm" for nearly every restaurant here, not just the 5-star hotels.

Meum est propositum in taberna mori,

I've booked Palace Gate for New Year's Day. I'm much more into celebrating with a nice lunch on 1st January these days than staying up on New year's Eve. Will be in bed before midnight on 31st.
Undecided about Christmas Day. I brought back a Christmas cake and Christmas pudding from M&S Bangkok recently so we at least have the pudding side of things covered.
